Brad's Easy Basic Marinara Sauce
This Sauce is magic, it never fails your guests will think you turned into a gourmet cook overnight.
Ingredients:
1 can crushed tomatoes (large can-28 oz)
1can of filtered water
1 can tomato paste (6 oz)
1/2 cup chopped fresh basil
2 tablespoon dried oregano
2 tablespoons sugar or 1 tablespoon agave
1 tablespoon salt
1 cup parmesan cheese
Directions:
Combine all ingredients except parmesan cheese in a pot. Do not cover the pot. Cook on medium for 15 minutes watching and stirring occasionally. Then reduce heat to low and cook additional 20 minutes. Keep checking and stirring. You don't want to burn the sauce. Add the parmesan cheese to the sauce and cook an additional 10 minutes. Make sure you break up any clumps in the cheese. Stir well.
Now you are ready to top the pasta of your choice. Add sauteed veggies to it if you wish.
